How long will it take to frame my picture?

We have over 1000 mouldings available for you to choose from in the shop, but the majority of those will need to be ordered in specifically for your item. For this reason our typical turn around time is 2 - 3 weeks. However, if you do need something framed in a shorter time scale than this, we will always do our best to complete the framing for when you need it. We keep a range of mouldings in stock so that we can accomodate the more urgent jobs

Do you stretch canvases?

We are experts at canvas stretching and can cater for canvases of all size. We can frame them in a number of different styles including tray/floater frames, or they can be left to be hung without a frame.

Do you clean or repair works of art?

We deal with a highly experienced restorer/conservator who can asses your item and give you a no obligation quote for the appropriate work to be carried out. 

Do you mend frames?

We will replace glass and/or mounts in your existing frame, put new hangings on the back and finish in the professional manner, but we do not mend broken or damaged frames.

Do you sell mounts (or mats)?

We will cut a mount to the size you need to fit your own frame and picture. You can take the mount away and assemble it yourself, or one of our framers will assemble it for you, finishing off the back to the trade standard. We do not stock ready cut mounts.

Do you sell ready made frames?

We hold in stock a selection of standard sized ready made frames. We do not sell clip-frames.

What is the cost of framing a sports shirt?

The average price for framing a full sized football shirt in a suitable moulding is £250. This cost covers the extensive work involved in presenting the shirt to its best advantage, mounting it within the frame, and the necessary box frame techniques used in the process.

Do you buy second hand pictures?

We don’t buy items from the general public, we only deal with publishers or selected artists.

Do you give discounts?

Our pricing system has to cover all our costs involved in running a retail business in the town centre and employing people who will help you make an informed decision to make the most of your artwork. To this end, our scale of charges for framing is finely tuned. So for one or two framing items, we cannot offer discounts. But for larger quantities, we have a discount structure.
